Dear Parent,
The DeKalb County School District (DCSD) utilizes the Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA) Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) which is administered three times a year - Fall, Winter, and Spring.
The Assessment Administration Department for the DeKalb County School District has set the Winter MAP testing window to open on Monday, November 11, 2024, and close on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.  Redan Middle School will begin MAP testing on Monday, November 11 – 15, 2024.

The results of your child’s Spring 2024 Georgia Milestones: End-of-Grade Assessment (EOG) and Fall 2024 MAP are available by request. To request a copy of your child’s score report please email the school test coordinator Dr. Whatley @ [email protected].
Title 1 Meeting

Annual Title 1 Meeting

10:00 a.m. and 4:30 pm (Virtual)
Parents and families will be able to:
  1. Review the school PFE survey results for the School Compact & Policy. 1% Set- Aside Budget and Building Capacity of school staff and parents.
  2. Review and sign the Title 1 School-Family Compact and Policy for Student Achievement.
  3. Learn about the standards, curriculum, and assessments.
  4. Ask questions regarding policies, programs and activities that help increase parental engagement.
Free and Reduced Lunch
Greetings Redan Family,

We need your assistance to completed a Free & Reduce Lunch Application for your scholar.  Even if our school is a CEP school where all kids receive free breakfast and lunch, we need you to complete this process.  School Nutrition and Title I are two different entities.  The Federal Government uses our free/reduced percentage to determine our school's Title I fund allocations.  The use of the information is the reason why schools either had a reduction or increase in Title I allocations for the past couple of years.

The applications must be completed BEFORE the October FTE count day which is October 1st.  Please assist us by completed the application below.

Steps for Mandated Reporter Video/Quiz:
· Create an account( no cost)
· Choose State: GA
· Click Child Abuse and Neglect Course: Mandated Reporter
· Click Start Course
· Complete Quiz
· Save or print your certificate.
Send a Copy of your certificate to [email protected]

Step 4:
For Level III Volunteers ONLY.
Schedule an appointment with the Public Safety Department for the fingerprints.

Parent Tech Cafe'
 Did you know that Instructional Technology hosts monthly Tech Cafés for parents? These virtual sessions provide a fantastic opportunity for parents to learn about the digital resources used in DCSD classrooms. The first Tech Café will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 6:00 pm.
