The DeKalb County School District (DCSD) utilizes the Northwest Evaluation (NWEA) Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessment as a universal screener three times a year – Fall, Winter, and Spring.Below is information needed for the face to face administration of the reading and math portion of the MAP assessment. For the school year 2020-2021, the Winter MAP test administration window is utilized for Magnet and Gifted eligibility screening. Therefore, due to the nature of the 2020-2021 Winter MAP assessments, students in grades 3 – 8 will be administered the MAP test in two different testing modes, if applicable: remotely (language usage and science MAP tests) and face to face for (reading and mathematics MAP tests). Those students not testing will be expected to complete asynchronous or synchronous assignments based on whether their teacher will be serving as a test examiner.(Just as a reminder this is a HALF-DAY testing session).
MAP: Reading and Math testing:
- Students will report for a 2-day testing administration per grade level to complete reading and math testing.
- Testing dates are: (2/10-2/26/21.) DCSD Transportation will be provided on 2/10-2/18/21. Families are responsible for transportation on 2/22-2/26/21).
- Students must report to Redan by 8:30 AM.
- Students will test for half-day based upon their last name and grade level.
